The Public Mobile team

Thank you. I (and probably everyone else) appreciate open, honest, two-way dialog.
Thanks for the update.
I currently pay $20/month to Telus for a grandfathered plan which includes 100 minutes, caller ID and voice mail. My main beef with their plan is that they charge the $6.95 system access fee and 15 cents per text message. So my usual bill is approximately per month including fees and taxes.
As a cell phone user who rarely uses his maximum 100 minutes per month maximum, will you have a plan for the occasional user?
Paul
@ Paul:
Hi Paul, Thanks for the question. We are planning on launching Public Mobile with our $40 unlimited talk and text plan. After launch we’ll be looking at options to bring differing plans to market – we’ll include your comment as a request for an ‘occasional user’ plan.
A big question I have is whether or not you are looking at long distance and/or smartphones. I know that if I were to get my grandmother a cellphone I think she would really like to be able to call me without being charged 25cents/min. Another thing. If you could have a cell phone which is also built for the elderly available I think it would REALLY be appreciated. I have wanted to get one for my grandmother for awhile but all of the keypads are too tiny. This would be nice

@ Clint Kyksa
Clint – thanks for your questions. Let me answer them in order;
) We’ll certainly have options available around long distance to those customers that want to call long distance – whether it is Canada, US or internationally.
) With regard to smartphones, because we are launching initially without a data feature, they won’t be in our initial offering either.
for the tip on the phones – we’ll certainly consider a phone like that if there is interest.
Without any notice my bill has been added up for the next two months!!! And there is not any option for me to pay only for the next month bill rather than to pay for the next two months!!!! Public mobile sucks!!!!!
I have the 15$ plan and my payment date was by Jan 2 for the month of January, which is today. But, all I see in my account is that I have a balance of 30$ + TAX and the payment due date is February 1. If Public mobile has to change anything in my account, as a responsible service provider, they must inform their customers first before making the change. I can not even talk to any customer service person for this issue coz now it is 9.59PM, and they are not available after 9:00 PM. Happy to be a customer of PUBLIC Mobile!!!!!!
Wow…Rahman…can you be any more of a baby?
Ever hear of a little something called a billing error? I am sure that Public Mobile is the only cell company to have those right? Bell or Rogers have never made a billing error on anyones account?
So you are out of a phone for a day…big deal. Grow up.
