What Brian said in earlier comment, most of the users are not only used to data plans but it became more of our necessities; so once the data plans are up and running, I think alot more people will switch to your company. If Public Moblile is planning on charging additional fees for data usage, then we might be better off with our current service provider whereas with $ 44.00 (inc. tax) uncludes unlimited browsing, called id & voice mail, missed call alert, back up, 150 texts and MMS as well as cool phones. Not to mention unlimited talk time after 5 p.m. and some(200) daytime minutes billed by the second. So if Public mobile are just looking into the aspect of giving users unlimited talk & text; it's not enough. Think about including some other add-ons within the $40 rate plan. Thanks.

I also am interested in the data-side of the plan. About 10% of my phone usage is talking. The other 90% is data - maps, google, calender, email, etc.

Have you considered partnering with Google Voice/GrandCentral to get voicemail, etc? They've got a great system worked out. It would be great if it were brought it to Canada.

Thanks for your question. Unfortunately you will not be able to use old phones on the Public Mobile Network.</strong>

Public Mobile: Another person asked if someone can switch to your network using their current phone (with a SIM card). Will this be possible or will we have to purchase your handsets?

$40 for talk & text sounds pretty good, especially if you include voicemail & caller id. Will your phones work outside the initial coverage area of your network (GTA)? Will you work on another carrier's network if one travels outside your "zone"? Lastly, because you have no contracts (which sounds great) will you be charging full price for your handsets (ie: no subsidies)?
