Do you know Peter Bregg?

By david | Posted April 30th, 2010

Have you seen our ads out on the street? If you have, you have been looking at the work of one of Canada’s most accomplished photographers, Peter Bregg. Peter has spent 40 years covering events around the world like the Vietnam War (1973), Iran hostage crisis (1979), Poland’s Solidarity movement (1981), and the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York. Peter also at various points worked as either a photographer or photo editor for the Associated Press, Canadian Press, Maclean’s magazine and HELLO! Magazine.

Besides being a great photographer, Peter has a big heart and has also donated his time to PhotoSensitive, a collective of photographers who use their talents towards social justice. Peter’s work within PhotoSensitive has taken him to locations such as Mozambique, Rwanda and Zambia. Images from the PhotoSensitive and the causes they represent can be seen at www.photoSensitive.com.

Public Mobile feels really lucky that Peter came to shoot our photos – we think they look great.

Featured Question of the week: Do you have 911 fees like the other carriers?

By david | Posted April 29th, 2010

We’ve had a couple of people ask about 911 fees. The $40/month that you pay for unlimited talk and text doesn’t have additional fees like a System Access Fee, or a 911 fee. Public Mobile has integrated 911 access into our network, so you will be able to call 911 if you ever need help in an emergency.

We’re continuing our conversation with Alek, and asking him what sets us apart and how we’ll be able to provide our customers with the value and service we’re promising. From the very beginning, Public Mobile’s core focus has been the customer. We know that to succeed as a company, we have to take care of our customers and keep them happy. Here Alek talks about our primary goals and about doing the right thing for the customer.
