Everyone has a phone for a different reason- some for work, some for social, some for both- some receive more calls, some do the dialing, while others are busy texting. Whatever the reason, your needs aren’t necessarily matching what you’re paying for. We want to know what YOUR ideal plan is.

Hey, looks like great plans. But is it SIM based? What if I already have a phone? Thanks!
No – our phones are based on CDMA technology, and while there are CDMA phones that use SIM cards, Public Mobile’s do not.
Hey, I was just wondering what you meant on the coverage page. When it says “Covered” and then “2010″ ? I don’t understand. When you launch the network, will the covered and 2010 area be accessed?
Hope you know it was a her you were responding to, not Alex..but alexa
For $24.99 unlimited plan I’ll give-up 3-way calling for call display.
That will be the perfect starter plan.
Regards,
Hi Dan, thanks for the suggestion around our $24 unlimited talk plan. Right now this is not possible but we’ll look at changing it in the future.
Okay, so what is my ideal plan you ask? Well I have not seen it yet in Canada. I’ve been travelling all around the world and even in Developing countries they have much better (more affordable) plans than we do here in Canada.
In Jamaica, England, Sweden, Dominican Republic, Martinique, India and Australia the plans were all better by leaps and bounds.
For example, in Australia, with a pre-paid card of 20$ I got free incoming calls + texts (international and local), 50 free outgoing texts, free voice mail, free call display, free call waiting and free 3 way calls. If I bought a 30$ pre-paid card (keep in mind this is also tax included, so that means 30$ all told) along with all the above features I would get an additional 5 hours of free talk time.
This is the kind of plan I would like to see. No contract, free incoming calls, all of the above essentially for 20$ a month. Now that would make sense and be affordable at the same time! I think that all pre-paid plans should come with free voice mail and call display as a bare minimum. It doesn’t cost anything for the company to add those features so it’s a hard pill to swallow to have to pay an extra 8 dollars for features that really should be included. Come on Canada! Get in the game – the communications game. We’re waaaaaaayyyyy too behind!
