Unfortunately, the towers to which you refer on top of the mountain do not belong to Public Mobile; thanks for including your postal code in your note, it has helped us to identify the towers that are serving you. While we are very committed to expanding our network into our licensed area, we are also working very hard to improve the reception quality in our existing unlimited coverage area.

Thanks to feedback like yours, we’ve identified the area as requiring some reinforcement to ensure a quality experience. We expect you’ll see an improvement by the middle of 2012 when we light up new towers in your area. Your contribution to the dialogue has an impact and will lead to a better service for everyone.

H2T2W8
Top floor of a triplex with a clean line of sight to the towers on the mountain. I get calls dropped regularly, and when they don't get dropped, I'm unable to hear the other person the rest of the time. Not even calling 611 is reliable.

This is unacceptable. $15/month is $15 wasted if you can't get reliable service in the one of the most densely populated neighborhoods in Canada.

Public mobile is a scam! I bought a phone from them for $190, and the calls constantly breakup so that no one could understand me. Public mobile told me it was the phone which they replaced. But the new one was just as bad. When I asked for a refund on the phone I had bought from them, I was denied. Either their phones or their network do not work- and they don't seem to care. Avoid this company at all costs!! As far as I am concerned, they are just a scam!.

Update: Last Friday the signal became acceptable.
On the South(to Cote St-Luc blvd) side only of my building I get 4 lines but in the building and on North side I get only one line. The phone is usable however the signal can be improved. No signal in the basement.

Let s forget where the reception is bad, voice is choppy, dropped connection...
Anybody could confirm in which areas the service is reliable indoor and outdoor.
Toronto turned on the network one month before Montreal, and they have only problems

return period until July 13th for those customers that activated their phone prior to July 6th. This means that if you are unhappy with our service, you can return the phone with the original invoice and packaging and we’ll provide you with a full refund.

Hello,
I have no reception in my apartment. This kinda of bad right now since I'm looking for job... :S. I have to walk all the way to the metro station to get a 1 sometimes 2 bar reception.
Judging from other postings the whole area under highway 20 is not working. Can you please let me know when this will be fixed?

My coordinates are:

Rue Lacasse, Saint-Henri,
Montréal, QC H4C 2Z2

Regards,
Marek Gola

Queen Mary / Decarie ?
The salesman at PublicMobile store went to the window to be able to activate my phone today.
I leave 450 m from Queen Mary / Decarie, no indoor signal and outside signal is unusable.
Please improve coverage in this area.

Yup, Montreal East from autoroute 25 still has no or minimal reception.
Anywhere close to Notre-Dame street is not still working in the east end.

I posted two days ago in the last network update about terrible call quality and dropped calls... no response form Public Mobile. Any answers available? I was told that the poor reception was the cause of the lousy call quality.

Hey, I was just wondering why

   * Saint-Laurent (Côte-Vertu Blvd & Cavendish Blvd)
    * Ahunstic (Emile-Journault Ave and Papineau)
    * Anjou (Les Galeries Anjou Blvd and Beaubien St East)
    * Rivière-des-Prairies (Perras Blvd and Armand Bombardier Blvd)
    * Lachine (south of Hwy 20, near 46th Ave)
    * LaSalle (south of Parc Angrignon)

are still being updated because they were suppose to be updated a long time ago.

On your blog you posted a 2nd update saying this:

    * Rivière-des-Prairies: July 1st-5th
    * Côtes-des-Neiges/Queen Mary: improved today, June 28th
    * Côte-Vertu:  July 1st-5th
    * Ahunstic: July 1st-5th

Why aren't those areas already updated?
