Listen up whinny bitches. It's PM is building the network from nothing. For any of you remembering back when Rogers was building it's network to compete with Bell, it was way worst. Trust me.

Personally I get excellent reception in areas advertised as working and intermittent reception in areas "coming soon". I couldn't be happier with the service. Even with areas that are weak, I Don't Care! I'm saving over $150 a month and the phone works every time I need it to.

Maybe I'm just lucky, or you're too young to know what it takes to build a network. This isn't sex boys, where instant gratification is love making. Be patient. PM will rock your world soon enough.

I have a two cell phone one with Fido that use Rogers network and the next one with Bell. The Fido if you put it on 850 MHz the reception is good indoors and also the Bell one now if you put them on 1900 MHz all hell is gone the reception sucks. That why the big cell company have two band and poor Public Mobile only have 1900 MHz . They need to put up more towers then other company . So if you want Unlimited just wait for Chatr it will be in Montreal in the Fall and they use the good Rogers network 850/1900 MHz gsm.

I told you all to return your phone before July 13. It's going to take them a year or two to have really good reception like Bell and Rogers. Public Mobile only run at 1900 MHz, this is not so good for indoor use.

"I realized that it better then paying $40 for a phone that is searching for service 90% of the time"

I am starting to think the same thing. It's like a $40 a month brick.

Well it has been about 6 weeks now... and absolutely nothing has changed.

- Last caller said I sounded like I was "calling from the moon".
- No reception inside house.
- Sound is always CRAPPY.

Even though there is no real service guarantee, I think there is an implied one, and there have been lots of promises that the phones will be made to work properly... which is why I am sticking around. But there seems to be little progress in this direction.

I did get put in touch with the head of their network operations, who said he would fix it..never heard from him again. I imagine they are all overrun with the complaints.

One yhing I have to say, I thought my Virgin Mobile Pay as you Go service sucked because I spend money often yo refill the minutes, but I realized that it better then paying $40 for a phone that is searching for service 90% of the time, that needs to be recharged every 4 hours because it's always searching, and saying 2 word then having the call dropped is not talking to me, so for the past 2 months i had to refill my very reliable Virgin phone because of my very non-reliable Public Mobile phone.

Thank you very much Public Mobile for the service never provided, you have made me an apreciative customer of Virgin Mobile...

Pay as you go they cost a bit more but the sercice is there when you need it!!!!

It sucks, I purchased my phone in May early June thinking I would be able to use by network launch, only to find out that not only is the West Island NOT covered at launch, but only in August... I've been bumming around without a cell phone, and the free month they gave me isn't really free considering I don't have reception unless I go in the East end and downtown...

One tends to believe Public Mobile is poor man's cell phone because there is no or very week network around / above and east of Westmount park!
